Composites: the industry game changer
Stronger, lighter and the durable choice for corrosive environments where metal fails. KASE Pumps utilizes the latest advancements in fiber-reinforced polymer technology to greatly enhance the service life of our fluid products, giving you the performance edge.

Corrosion Resistance
Lifetime corrosion warranty in saltwater service. Highly resistant acids and solvents, providing years of trouble-free service
Woven Protection
Multi-layered fiber reinforcement structures that provide superior strength, rigidity, toughness and abrasion resistance.
Lightweight Construction
70-80% weight reduction compared to metal. Simpler service and less demand on the carrying chassis during transport.
Composite Advantage
In modern fluid handling, advanced structural composites offer a significant competitive advantage over traditional metals, especially in demanding applications like wastewater, firefighting, and oil and gas operations. Unlike metal components that degrade in corrosive environments, KASE Pumping Systems’ proprietary fiber-reinforced polymer technology is completely corrosion-proof in brine solutions. Its additional exceptional resilience against acids and solvents ensures years of trouble-free service and is further backed by a lifetime corrosion warranty for all composite materials in saltwater applications.
Beyond corrosion resistance, these advanced materials provide a superior strength-to-weight ratio. With strength comparable to steel, composites can achieve a remarkable 70-80% weight reduction. This ultra-lightweight design, seen in products like the RFP6 fire pump, reduces vehicle chassis loading and fuel consumption. For submersible pumps, it allows for manual deployment by one or two people, a critical advantage in emergency situations. The multi-layered and woven construction of these composites enhances durability by dispersing loads and preventing surface damage from spreading, leading to greatly improved impact resistance and operational reliability.

Chemical Resistance
The following table provides guidance on the chemical resistance of our proprietary thermosetting polyolefin polymer system. This information is intended to facilitate preliminary screening and application feasibility. In general, polyolefin thermosets are compatible with aqueous-based systems at ambient and elevated temperatures. For qualifications of specific applications and other chemical environments, testing may be required prior to implementation. The chart specifically compares the strength of the “polymer only”. Reinforcements, such as carbon-fiber, significantly improve a polymer’s strength and durability. For additional information, please contact our engineering team.
